Law enforcement officer will sometimes warn individuals at disturbance calls that if an officer has to return, someone might be arrested.   On the other hand, did you know the bible describes the return of Jesus Christ and our future hope in Him?  Check this out:

  • This is the bread which comes down from heaven that one may eat of it and not die.  I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” John 6:50-71
  • And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work…He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Revelation 22:12, 20
  • For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.  1 Thessalonians 4:15-17(NKJV)
  • And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-27
  • …Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”  Acts 1:11
  • But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  Matthew 24:36-37
  • For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,   Philippians 3:20
  • …so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.  Hebrews 9:28(NLT)
  • …while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.  Titus 2:13(NLT)
  • Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.1 John 3:2
