Praying for the Houston (TX) Police in the on-duty police helicopter crash fatality of an officer and a second seriously injured officer

Our Gracious Lord, we come before Your throne of grace, O’ God, to seek Your grace and mercy for the Houston Police in this tragic death of an officer from a helicopter accident.  We especially list up the surviving officer who is in the hospital.  We are so thankful he survived and seek Your mercy and grace upon him as he is being treated.  May Your grant the doctors wisdom to identify his injuries and restore him to full health.   As we know many Houston law enforcement officers and others law enforcement officers across America are grieving ever so greatly at this tragic accident, we lift them into Your Presence as they mourn the loss of a this officer.  So Lord, we ask You to wrap Your Arms of Love around every member of the Houston Police as they are in deep sorrow and grieving ever so greatly at this terrible loss.  May Your peace, love, grace, mercy and everlasting comfort touch their hearts, minds and souls.  As we know there were a number of other law enforcement officers and first responders who had to endure witnessing the aftermath of this crash scene first-hand and worked diligently to extricate them, we ask You to pour out an extra measure of Your grace upon them as they had to endure this tragedy up close.  And as the families of this fallen officer is in shock and mourning ever so greatly, we ask Your Amazing Grace to be made ever so real in their hearts and draw them ever so close to Your Son to be comforted by His loving presence.  May You grant the investigators with supernatural wisdom and insight to determine the cause of this crash and use it to prevent any other accidents in the future.  As we know there is an emptiness in the hearts of so many right now, may they be comforted with Your words as follows, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.  So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.”  So Lord, as the Houston Police Department must now begin the process to say farewell to their fallen comrade, may You use that as an opportunity to draw many unto the love of Your Son in whom there is forgiveness and everlasting life.  And if any co-workers may have strayed from Your Path, may they be drawn back unto Your Side.  Again Lord, supernaturally uphold the many family members and co-workers whose hearts are broken.  Finally, may many hear Your good news for the first time that, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
