Our Merciful Heavenly Father, our hearts are broken and spirits heavy as we mourn the on-duty murder of Corporal Charles Galloway. Lord, we, therefore, come ever so boldly and needy before Your Throne of Grace as we lift up the men and women of the Harris County Constable as they are grieving the loss of one of their own co-workers. First and foremost, Lord, we ask You to pour out Your Amazing Grace on them and may it be Your Presence and Love sustaining them through this horrific tragedy. May Your mercies and grace additionally uphold Corporal Galloway’s family who are in deep mourning and grieving ever so greatly at this loss. May they deeply sense Your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort and especially, Your Presence at all times. May You grant the investigators with supernatural insight and wisdom to be able to determine the facts in this incident and locate and arrest the suspect who fled the scene. Lord, may you grant the investigators wisdom, insight and intuition to be able to track and arrest this suspect. And if he tries to use his weapon on any other peace officer, may You cause his weapon to misfire or malfunction. May You also cause the suspect to be confused, guilt-ridden and unable to sleep or have any peace until he has been apprehended. Protect every peace officer in Texas and abroad. May you also raise up witnesses who can report this suspects location. As You know where he is Lord, may you supernaturally point your peace officers to his location. May your peace that transcends all comprehension be made ever so real in the heart of the entire Harris County Constable Department. As Your word says to cast all our cares on You for You care for us, Lord, we come to You on behalf of the men and women of the Harris County Constable Department and entire law enforcement community and seek You love, grace, peace mercy and comfort. May You cause this tragedy to draw many officers and others to seek your Son in whom there is peace and everlasting life. In the midst of this incident, we know the men and women of the Harris County Constable Department must begin the task of preparing a final farewell to their fallen comrade. May Your mercies and grace guide them and may many be drawn unto Your Son in who them is a peace that passes all understanding. May many be comforted with Your words as follows, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” May they know that the Joy of the Lord will be their strength and may many receive You as their savior and Lord as You carry them through this loss of their dear friend, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
