Our Merciful Lord, we are thankful to You for sparing the life of a Baltimore Police Sergeant who was intentionally dragged by a vehicle. As the news reports indicate he is in critical condition, we ask You to continue to grant the doctors and entire medical staff wisdom to identity his many injuries and then effectively treat and restore this sergeant to full health. As he is recovering in the hospital it appears his prognosis has been upgraded to fair, so Lord, we ask You to pour out Your love, grace, mercy and peace upon his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your Side. May your grace and mercies especially be with this peacemaker’s family as they are at his side. May your peace that transcends all understanding settle on their hearts and minds as they cope with this near loss. May you be with the investigators and grant them wisdom and supernatural to investigate this incident in which the suspect has been arrested. Finally Lord, May Your grace, presence, mercy, love and comfort extend to the men and women of the Baltimore Police Department and entire local law enforcement community and protect them with Your arms of love. May many officers and colleagues of this injured sergeant be drawn to you, Lord, the only One who can and will provide them a peace that passes all understanding. May any officer who is distressed know Your word says, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” May You, Lord, supply all of their needs according to Your Riches and Glory.
