Our Gracious Lord, today continues to a very difficult day for the law enforcement community across America. We come before Your throne of grace to lift up the Yonkers Police Department as they are grieving at the loss of Sgt. Frank Gualdino from an on-duty Collision. We also seek Your amazing grace and comfort to settle upon the men and women of the Tampa Police Department for a motorcycle officer seriously injured in an on-duty collision and for a Daytona Beach Police Department stabbed in the face. O’ Lord, right now, it is only Your amazing grace that can truly carry the men and women of these law enforcement agencies through this very difficult and emotional time. May Your wisdom be poured out upon the investigators who are looking into the details surrounding these incidents and grant them insight to gather the facts in all three incidents. May Your grace, mercy, love, comfort and most of all, Your presence, especially touch the family of Sgt. Frank Gualdino as they cope with this sudden and tragic loss of their loved one this holiday season. May You hold them ever so closely to Your Side where they may sense Your peace in the middle of this difficult storm. As the families of the officers in Tampa and Daytona Beach have been deeply affected, may Your love and comfort of Your Holy Spirit carry them through this very emotional time. As we know many other law enforcement officers and first responders had to witness each of these very difficult scenes, we ask for a touch of the Master’s Hand to be upon every one of them and may they know just how much You love them and will carry them through this valley of the shadow of death. May Your grace preserve the hearts and minds of those struggling from enduring any long-term emotional trauma. May You use each of these traumatic incidents to cause many other officers and family members to examine their hearts and be drawn to Your love. May many know Your word says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” And, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” O’ Lord, as Yonkers Police Department must begin the process to prepare a final farewell to their fallen comrade, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a light to others at this dark time. Finally, may anyone who has strayed from Your path, recommit their lives to You and may they be used for Your Glory. May many come to receive You as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
