Our Mighty Lord, we come before Your Throne of Grace with hearts of gratitude and thanksgiving that the life of another one of Your peacemakers was spared by Your mercies. Lord, we lift up this wounded Border Patrol into Your Presence Lord and ask for Your healing touch to continue to be upon him as he has already been treated at a hospital. We are so thankful his Kevlar vest saved him. May You reveal to the heart and mind of this agent Your amazing and unending love, grace, peace and comfort of Your Holy Spirit. May Your love, grace, mercy peace and comfort especially touch the family of this wounded agent as they are with him supporting and loving him at this very emotional time. May Your grace additionally extend to the many co-workers and friends of this U.S. Border Patrol agent and uphold them with Your arms of love as they experienced this near-death encounter. Lord, we also ask You to give the investigators wisdom as they piece together the details of this incident in which the suspect fled but were later captured. May Your mercies, Presence and grace gently settle upon the hearts and minds of the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol and draw them ever so close to Your side for comfort. May Your love and grace extend to the many other agents, firefighters, paramedics and first responders who responded to that scene and surround them with Your love as they had to witness this near-death experience up close. May Your word as follow strengthen every law enforcement officer as follow, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” May Your Holy Spirit reveal the Love of Your Son to the many agents who were present at that scene. And if the wounded agent or any other agent does not know You personally, may Your Holy Spirit draw them unto Your side where they may have an opportunity to receive Your Son as they Savior and Lord. May they know Your word says, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest”, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
