Our Merciful Lord, we are ever so grateful to You Lord, for Your hands of protection to have been upon this Merced County Sheriff’s Deputy. We thank you, Lord, for sparing the life this wounded servant. As You continue to surround and protect Your servants, Lord, we thank You Your amazing Grace and Mercy to have descended upon this peacemaker. We therefore, come into Your Presence Lord to lift up this wounded deputy before Your Throne of Grace and ask for Your blessings and comfort to touch her heart and mind as she recovers from this near-death experience. As the news reports she was transported to a hospital and has been released, we ask You to continue to guide the doctors and grant them wisdom to treat and restore this deputy to full health. May You grant the investigators wisdom to piece together the details of this incident in which deputy shot the suspect who died. May this wounded deputy’s family also sense Your grace, peace, mercy, presence and comfort carrying them all through this very emotional time as a result of this near-death experience. May your grace and mercy also touch the men and women of the Merced County Sheriff’s Department and hold them ever so closely to Your side where there is amazing peace that passes all understanding because of Your Love. May Your peace and everlasting comfort prevent this wounded deputy and any co-workers from enduring any short term or long-term emotional trauma. And Lord, as we know Your word says that all things work together for good according to your riches and mercy, may You use these attacks upon Your servants to continue to draw many men, women and children unto the Love of Your Son in who there is forgiveness of sins and everlasting life. May you especially cause many members of the Merced County Sheriff’s Department to search their hearts inwardly and if any have been backslidden or need to receive You into their heart, May Your Holy Spirit touch those in need. May You draw them back into Your loving arms, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
