Our merciful Lord, we come boldly into Your presence seeking Your mercies and grace for a critically injured Miami-Dade Police officer from an on-duty collision. As the news reports he sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital, we are so thankful to You for sparing his life. We therefore ask You to continue to intervene O’ Lord and guide the doctors and entire medical staff and grant them extraordinary wisdom and insight to properly and effectively treat this officer’s injuries and restore him to full health. May this officer intimately know Your grace, peace, mercy, love and comfort even as he is likely sedated and/or in great pain. As his family is at his sides supporting him at this very emotional time, may their family members, too, have Your peace that passes all understanding as You carry them through these deep waters. As we also know many other officers and other family members are rallying to support this injured officer, may they know that they can take solace that You, Lord, are in control. May this injured officer be strong and take heart—may he forever place his Hope and Trust in You. O’ Lord, may You make Your presence supernaturally known to this injured officer and may he know You will never leave him nor forsake him. And as this collision is under investigation, may You grant the investigators wisdom to piece together all of the facts. May Your Presence, amazing grace and Your angels encamp around this injured peacemaker and sustain him with Your everlasting love. May Your Face shine upon every Miami-Dade Police Department and family member. By Your grace, may they be strong and take heart—may they forever place their hope and trust in You as You carry them through this difficult time. May Your word as follows bring comfort to many, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Finally, may you raise up godly officers, chaplains and others to support this injured officer and family members. May many be drawn to Your Son in whom there is everlasting life. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
