Our King of Kings, it is with a deep heart of thanks and gratitude that we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the men and women of the Arizona Dept. of Public Safety and the Slidell Police Department as they rally around and support their wounded and injured co-workers. As these peace officers are being/have been attended to by medical personnel, may You continue to grant the doctors wisdom to identify and treat their injuries and restore them to full health. We are so thankful the Arizona Trooper’s wound was not life-threatening. And as the Slidell police officer was injured in a rollover collision from a pursuit, may You continue to grant the doctor’s wisdom to identify his injuries and restore this officer to full health. As we are thankful the suspect in Arizona is no longer a threat and even though the suspect in Slidell escaped and his identity is known, may You grant the authorities wisdom to track him down and bring him to justice. May Your mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the families of these law enforcement officers and sustain them with Your amazing grace as they rally around and support their loved ones. And as countless members of the Arizona Dept. of Public Safety and the Slidell Police Department are supporting their injured co-workers through these near-death encounters, may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts to know Your word as follows, "Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land." O God, May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain those in need. As we know traumatic incidents like these can cause emotional trauma, may Your amazing grace preserve the hearts of those in need and draw them unto Your side. We lift those who need a touch of our Master's hand into Your Arms of Love. And in the weeks to come may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and peace. May many come to know Your son, Jesus, as their Savior and Lord. May every peace officer and family member intimately know Your love, grace and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
