Our Merciful Lord, We come boldly before Your Throne of Grace and into Your Presence, O’ Lord, to lift a California Highway Patrol officer who was involved in an on-duty collision. As the news reports indicate he is in serious condition, we ask You to continue to grant the doctors and entire medical staff supernatural wisdom to effectively identify his injuries, apply the correct treatment and restore him to full health. And as he will likely be in the hospital for an extended period of time, we ask You to pour out Your grace and peace upon his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your Side. May your grace, Presence, comfort and mercies especially be with his family and may your peace that transcends all understanding settle on their hearts and minds. May you be with the investigators and grant them wisdom and supernatural insight as they piece together the facts surrounding this incident. As there were a number of other law enforcement officers, paramedics and other first responders who responded to this collision scene, may they come to experience Your Presence, mercy, comfort and grace as You carry them through this difficult time. Finally, may Your grace and comfort extend to the men and women of the California Highway Patrol and entire local law enforcement community and surround them with Your arms of love as You carry them through this difficult time of uncertainty. May many officers and colleagues of this injured officer be drawn to you, Lord, the only One who can and will provide them a peace that passes all understanding. May Your Words bring comfort to many: “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” And, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.” May You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a representative of Your love, comfort and mercy. And if this injured officer does not know You personally, may Your Holy Spirit speak to his heart and reveal to him Your amazing grace. May You use this near tragedy to draw many unto the love of Your Son and may many come to know You, Lord, in a real and personal way, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
