Our Father in Heaven, we come into Your Presence Lord seriously wounded Henry County Sheriff’s Cpl. Daniel Podsiadly and place him into Your loving care. As he has already undergone surgery, it is into Your hands that we place him for You to pour out Your mercy and grace upon him and restore him to full health. We are so thankful to You, Lord, for the gift of modern medicine. May You continue to guide the hands of the doctors to continue to render the correct medical care and restore him to complete health. We also lift up two wounded Clayton County Police Officers. May Your mercies and healing power continue to be poured out upon these servants and restore them to full health. May Your grace and Presence especially touch the families of Your wounded peace officers and draw them ever so close to Your side. As we know life-threatening encounters like this can affect co-workers just as much as these wounded peace officers, we ask for your grace, peace, mercies and comfort to settle upon every law enforcement officer who were involved in those incidents and may they experience your amazing presence in their hearts especially since some had to fire their weapons to stop the suspect. May your word as follows bring comfort to those in need, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” O’ Lord, may every peace officer involved be drawn to You where they can experience Your abundant peace. And for these wounded peace officers and those co-workers who may have been very deeply affected emotionally, may they intimately know they can always cast theirs cares upon you for we know You care for them. May you prevent any of them from experiencing any long-term emotional trauma. May Your love, mercy, grace and comfort touch the men and women of the Henry County Sheriff and Clayton County Police Department as they support their wounded comrades. May Your amazing grace touch the hearts and minds of the families of every law enforcement officer who were involved in these dangerous incidents and may Your love reign supreme. May many peace officers and others come to know You as their Savior and Lord by receiving Your forgiveness and mercies. May they know that now is the day of salvation for Your Word says to “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” And, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid”. May Your Holy Spirit touch many lives, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
