Our Gracious Lord, we are ever so grateful to You Lord, for Your hands of protection to have been upon this St. Paul police officer to include several other officers this Christmas season. Your Grace and Mercy are amazing, Lord, and we are so very grateful to You to thank You for sparing the life of this officer. We, therefore, come into Your Presence Lord to lift up this wounded St. Paul officer before Your Throne of Grace and ask for Your blessings and comfort to touch his heart and mind as he recovers from this near-death experience. We are thankful the officer was able to stop the suspect who also was wounded. May your grace and mercy touch the men and women of the St. Paul Police Department and hold them ever so closely to Your side where there is amazing grace and love. May Your words touch anyone in need, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” And, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” May Your peace and everlasting comfort touch the family of this wounded officer and draw them close to You in the bonds of love as we celebrate our Lord’s birthday this month. Lord, as there are countless peace officers across America and the world protecting and serving, may You surround them with Your hands of protection, mercy and grace and keep them from all harm and danger. And Lord, as we know all things work together for good according to your riches and mercy, may You use these attacks upon Your servants to draw many men, women and children unto the Love of Your Son in who there is forgiveness of sins and everlasting life, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
