Our Merciful Heavenly Father, our hearts are broken and spirits heavy as we learn of the news of the on-duty murder of Sergeant Nevada Krinkee. Lord, we, therefore, come ever so boldly and needy before Your Throne of Grace as we lift up the men and women of the Sheridan Police Dept. as they are grieving the loss of one of their own co-workers. First and foremost, Lord, we ask You to pour out Your Amazing Grace on them and may it be Your Presence and Love sustaining them at this horrific tragedy. May Your mercies and grace additionally uphold Sergeant Krinkee’s family who are in deep mourning and grieving ever so greatly at this loss. May You grant the investigators with supernatural insight and wisdom to be able to investigate this tragic loss and we are so thankful the suspect has been arrested. May your peace that transcends all comprehension be made ever so real in the heart of the entire Sheridan Police Dept. and the many allied law enforcement officers involved in that incident. As Your word says to cast all our cares on You for You care for us, Lord, we come to You on behalf of the men and women of the Sheridan Police Dept. and entire Wyoming law enforcement community and seek Your love, grace, peace mercy and comfort. May You cause this tragedy to draw many officers and others to seek your Son for peace and comfort. In the midst of this incident, we know the men and women of the Sheridan Police Dept. must begin the task of preparing a final farewell to their fallen comrade. May Your mercies and grace guide them every step and may many be drawn unto Your Son in who them is a peace that passes all understanding. May many be comforted with Your words as follows, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” May they know that the Joy of the Lord will be their strength, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
