Our Gracious Lord, we come into Your Presence to lift up a wounded Pendleton Police Officer. As the new reports indicate this officer suffered a non-life-threatening wound, we seek Your Healing power to be upon him. May You grant the doctors wisdom and insight to accurately diagnose and treat his injuries. May Your grace and peace touch his heart and mind right now as she comes to grips with this near-death experience. May Your mercies and everlasting love especially touch the family of this officer who are very likely at his side at this very emotional time. Lord, we also ask for Your amazing grace and comfort to touch the men and women of the Pendleton Police Department. We are so thankful to You for sparing the life of this officer. May Your grace and especially Your peace touch the many other members of the Pendleton Police Department. We are so grateful to You Lord, for allowing the suspect to be captured safely who was seriously wounded. As incidents like these can cause short-term and long-term emotional trauma, may Your grace touch the minds of these law enforcement officers involved in that near-death incident and may You hold them ever so close to Your Heart. May Your grace prevent these officers from experiencing any traumatic emotional aftereffects. May You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a representative of Your grace, mercy, peace and comfort to share Your love with their co-workers. May You grant the investigators wisdom to effectively investigate this crime scene in order to gather all of the facts. May every officer know there are countless prayer warrior’s praying for police officers everywhere and may they be encouraged by Your Word as follows, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. May any officer or family member who may be struggling emotionally or spiritually be comforted by Your Holy Spirit and be drawn ever so close to Your Side. May You use this incident to draw many officers unto the love of your Son in whom there is everlasting life and may many receive Her as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
