Praying for two critically wounded Macomb (IL) Police Officers

O’ God, we need Your divine intervention right now Lord, for these two Macomb Police officers in which the news reports are in critical condition. As both officers are being treated at a hospital and have likely already undergone surgery, we come with great boldness before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your healing power to be upon these officers. May You bring in the needed medical specialists who will be able to diagnose and treat their injuries and restore them to full health. Lord, we ask for Your Holy Spirit to speak to the hearts and souls of these two wounded officers. May they know You love them and if these officers do not know You, may You send someone to tell them about Your Son so that they may receive You as their Savior and Lord. As we know multiple family members are at the hospital, may Your mercy and grace sustain them by Your Holy Spirit and draw them ever so close to Your Side as You carry the, through this time of uncertainty. May Your healing power touch Your peacemakers. As the suspect is barricaded, may You fill the investigators with wisdom to take him into custody. And if this suspect might try to use his weapon upon any officers, may You cause any weapon misfire or malfunction. May You cause this suspects mind to be confused and to be unable to sleep or rest until he surrenders or is arrested. Grant the investigators wisdom to piece together the facts surrounding this horrific attack. As this has struck the men and women of the Macomb Police Department ever so hard, may You hold every officer in Your Arms and sustain them with Your Amazing Grace and peace as You carry them through this very emotional time. O’ God, as countless law enforcement officers are at that scene, protect every officer with Your Shield and Your Power. Be a Rock and Fortress to them. Continue to provide the best treatment for these officers and spare their lives O’ God. May Your words bring comfort to the hearts of many, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” ; “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” ; and, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” May Your Holy Spirit comfort and strengthen every Macomb officer and their families, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
