Our Father in Heaven, hear our prayer, O’ Lord, as we lift up the heartbroken men and women of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department in this tragic traffic fatality of their friends and co-workers, Motorcycle Corporal Luis Paez, and Motorcycle Deputy Ralph "Butch" Waller. First Lord, we come in great earnest before Your Throne of Grace to lift up Deputy Ignacio "Dan" Diaz who was critically injured in this collision. O’ God, we seek the best and immediate medical care for Deputy Diaz. Spare his life O’ Lord. May You provide him with the best medical care and treatment to bring about a full recovery. At this time of loss, it is only YOU to whom we can turn for comfort at this sudden loss of two dear friends and co-workers. So Lord, we seek Your unfailing love to sweetly settle upon all family members of Corporal Paez and Deputy Waller who are deeply mourning this sudden and horrific loss this thanksgiving season. Lord, in the midst of this most difficult time for the family, friends and co-workers of Deputy Diaz who is fighting for his life, may Your presence, comfort and amazing grace be made evident in their hearts and minds. Lord, we ask for Your Arms of Love and Mercy to tightly hold the family of these three families ever so close to Your side. May their families intimately and deeply sense Your love, grace, mercy, comfort, and most of all, Your Presence in their hearts. Even in the middle of this tragedy, may You bring about good to everyone. May Your word as follow comfort those in need, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”, And, “In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” May You give the investigators wisdom to piece together the details and facts from this collision. May Your healing touch continue to be Deputy Diaz. As the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department must now begin the difficult process to prepare to say a final farewell to their fallen comrades, may You use this time to draw many co-workers and others ever so close to the Cross of Christ. May Your Holy Spirit, even now, begin to touch the hearts of so many. May You raise up chaplains and other Christian law enforcement officers to minister to those hurting in their hearts. And so, Lord, may, You, our God of Hope fill every officer, friend and family member with all Joy and Peace because of the everlasting gift of eternal life found only in Your Son. May You take this tragedy and bring about good to the hearts of then men and women of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department. And if any have strayed from Your path, bring them back unto Your Side. May many law enforcement officers and family members receive You into their hearts as Savior and Lord, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
