Our King of Kings, it is with a deep heart of thanks and gratitude that we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up three law enforcement officers in Ohio, Oklahoma and Maryland wounded/injured in the line of duty. We, therefore, place the men and women of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Oklahoma City Police Dept. and the Montgomery County Police Department into Your healing arms. As these peace officers are being treated, may You continue to grant the doctors wisdom to identify and treat their injuries and restore them to full health. We are so thankful the lives of these officers were spared. As we do not know their exact conditions, we ask You to raise up the correct medical specialists and, even now, begin the healing process. O’ Lord, spare the lives of these servants. May Your mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the families of these law enforcement officers and sustain them with Your amazing grace as they rally around and support their loved ones. And as countless members of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Oklahoma City Police Dept. and the Montgomery County Police Department also support their co-workers through these near-death encounters, may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts to know Your word as follows, "Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land." O God, May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain those in need of Your touch. As we know traumatic incidents like these can cause emotional trauma, may Your amazing grace preserve the hearts of those affected and draw them unto Your side. We lift all who need a touch of the Master's hand into Your Arms of Love. And in the weeks to come may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and peace. And this Christmas week, may many come to know Your son, Jesus, as their Savior and Lord. May every officer and family member intimately know Your love, grace and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” Thank You again, Lord, for sparing the lives of every peace officer, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
