Our Father in Heaven, this week has been tough on your peacemaker operating emergency vehicles. So Lord, we, again, come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a critically injured Miami-Dade Sheriff's motorcycle deputy into Your presence from an on-duty collision. O’ Lord, as reported in the news, this motorcycle officers suffered critical injuries, we are so thankful that it was by Your mercies and grace that You spared his life. We are also so thankful that he was quickly treated and taken to a trauma center and ask You to continue to grant the medical professionals’ wisdom to be able to render the correct treatment and care and so that he may be fully restored. May Your mercies extend to the many other officers, paramedics, firefighters and citizens who rendered aid to this injured deputy. May Your peace and comfort especially settle upon the family of this injured deputy as they are at his side supporting and loving him through this very emotional time. May You grant the investigators wisdom as they investigate this collision. Lord, in the coming days, may You raise up Godly deputies, friends or chaplains to continue to minister Your love to the many other Miami-Dade Sheriff's personnel, friends and family members so deeply affected by this near tragedy. May this incident draw many ever so close to Your side where there is amazing grace and peace. May Your word dwell richly in the hearts of so many as follows, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” And if this injured deputy, or any other deputy or family member does not know Your forgiveness and love, may You use this life-threatening situation to draw many close to Your side where there is never ending love and peace. May many come to receive Your Son into their hearts, for Your Word says, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
