Praying for a wounded/ambushed Hillsborough (CA) Police Officer

Our merciful and Gracious Lord, we come with deep hearts of gratitude and thanks unto You for sparing the life of a Hillsborough Police Officer who was ambushed in the poli ce station parking lot. As the news reports he was expected to make a fill recovery, we seek Your Amazing Grace to touch the heart and mind of Your wounded peacemaker. As the family of this officer is at his side, may they deeply know Your love and Your presence carrying them through this difficult time. May You continue to provide this officer with the best medical care and bring about a full recovery. May Your Holy Spirit draw this officer ever so close to Your Side as he recovers from his wound(s) and may he reflect upon Your Presence and grace to carry him through the coming weeks as he recovers. And Lord, this is not just an attack on just one officer or just one department, this is an outright evil-inspired attack upon the men and women of law enforcement across America for every law enforcement officer for Your word says every peace officer, “...is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.” We, therefore, come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your mercy, grace, presence, love, guidance and comfort to descend upon the men and women of the Hillsborough Police Department and many allied agencies in California and abroad. As this investigation is fluid with a suspect or suspects on the loose, may You fill the investigators with natural and supernatural wisdom to swiftly locate and bring to justice those responsible for this attempted murder of one of Your servant-peacemakers. As the suspect is being sought may You protect every peace officer. And if he tries to use his weapon against other peacemakers, may You cause his weapon to malfunction. May You confuse his mind and cause him to surrender. And Lord, may You raise up citizens and witnesses to be able to aid law enforcement in locating and stopping this suspect. May You surround every law enforcement officer with Your angels. May every peace officer remember their training. May every peace officer’s eyes not only stay vigilant but may their hearts and minds always stay fixed on You at all times. May you protect and keep all peace officers from the snares laid for them and from the traps set by evildoers. So Lord, we recognize that this attack on law enforcement officers is truly attack on everything that is good. So Lord, as there are countless law enforcement officers and their families concerned for their loved ones, we ask You to supernaturally protect every law enforcement officer in San Mateo County and protect them from all harm, danger and evil. We especially rest in Your Word as follows, “The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.” So Lord, if anyone attempts to ambush any other law enforcement officer, may You cause their weapons to misfire or malfunction. Again, may You cause these suspects to be quickly located and may You prevent any further injury or harm to Your servants. May You cause confusion, fear, insomnia and fatigue to overtake this suspect. May they not be able to have any peace or rest until they are apprehended. May the name of Jesus be lifted high and may countless law enforcement officers seek Your presence and guidance in all they do. May many officers receive You as their Savior and Lord and if any have fallen away from You, may You draw them back unto Your side, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
