O’ Merciful Lord, words cannot express the deep sense of urgency as we come boldly into Your Presence to lift up three gravely wounded officers and a critically wounded officer with the Northern York Regional Police Department and a wounded York County Sheriff’s Deputy into Your loving arms. O’ God, we need Your supernatural touch upon all of these peace officers. May Your presence, grace and healing touch settle upon all of these wounded peacemakers right now. O’ Lord, as You alone are our Rock and our Fortress and our ever-present help in times of trouble, we, therefore, earnestly come before your Throne of Grace to ask You to spare the lives of these peace officers. As they have been taken to a trauma center, may You continue to have in place the needed medical specialists and doctors to continue to diagnose their wounds and apply the correct surgical treatment and medications to save these peacemakers. As we know the family of these peace officers are very likely in deep distress, we seek Your amazing grace to sustain them through this very difficult time of uncertainty. Lord, may your sustaining grace, peace and mercy touch the hearts and souls of the men and women of the Northern York Regional Police Department and York County Sheriff’s Department as they rally to support their law enforcement family. Continue to pour out Your wisdom on the medical staff to save the lives of these wounded servants. We are thankful the suspect is no longer a threat as he apparently committed suicide. May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to piece together the facts of this incident. May Your words, Lord, as follows speak to the hearts of so many in need of Your touch, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ; and “Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.” And, “The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.” So, Lord, raise up chaplains and other Christian law enforcement officers to bring comfort to all. May Your Holy Spirit uphold each with Your amazing grace. May many know and intimately experience grace and mercy. O’ Lord, grant Your Amazing Grace to your wounded peace officers. If this any peace officer does not know You, may You send someone to share the love of Jesus and may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts and reveal Your love to them. O Lord, spare the lives of Your servants, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
