Our King of Kings, it is with broken hearts and deep heart of thanks and gratitude that we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the men and women of the Hays Police Department in the on-duty murder of an officer.  We also want to lift up wounded peace officers with the and the Tulsa Police Department and Stone County Sheriff as they rally around and support their wounded co-workers. As these wounded officers are being treated in which their wounds are said to not be life-threatening, may You continue to grant the doctors wisdom to identify and treat their injuries and restore them to full health. We are so thankful the lives of both peace officers were spared. May Your mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the families of these wounded law enforcement officers and sustain them with Your amazing grace as they rally around and support their loved ones. And as the members of the Hays Police Department are mourning the loss of their dear friend and co-worker,, may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts to know Your word as follows, "Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land." O God, may Your peace that passes all understanding sustain those in need as there many peace officers involved in these incidents in which one suspect died. As we know traumatic incidents like these can cause emotional trauma to those involved, may Your amazing grace preserve the hearts of those and draw them unto Your side. We lift all who need a touch of our Master's hand into Your Arms of Love. And in the weeks to come, may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and peace. May many come to know Your son, Jesus, as their Savior and Lord. May every officer and family member intimately know Your love, grace and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. May your word comfort many in need as follow, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”   In the coming week as the Hays Police Department prepares a final farewell for their fallen colleague, may many officers find grace and comfort in Your Presence and love.  Thank You again, Lord, for sparing the lives of these other peace  officers, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
