Our Gracious and merciful Lord, this past week has been tough on Your peace officers across America.  We, again, come boldly into Your Presence to lift up these five wounded Police Officers with the Miami Police Department; the Grove City Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police.  We are so grateful to You, Lord, that their lives were spared and are thankful that the suspect is no longer a threat in each incident. As it is reported the officers in Ohio and Florida are in stable condition at the hospital, we seek Your diving intervention and healing power to descend upon these two critically/seriously wounded Pennsylvania State Troopers.  May Your grace, mercy and continued healing touch be upon their body and restore them to full health. May You grant the doctors and medical personnel wisdom to continue to effectively treat their injuries that will bring about a complete recovery. As we know the emotional trauma on these wounded officers near-death encounter can be overwhelming, may they sense Your amazing grace and may Your mercy fill their heart, and spirit with Your peace. May You also be with these wounded officer’s families and co-workers and grant them peace in their hearts and minds as they also cope with this near tragedy of their loved one. May Your words bring comfort to those in need, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” As we know this incident can affect many others within each of these law enforcement agencies, may Your supernatural Presence be with every law enforcement officer and protect their minds and hearts from any mental and emotional repercussions caused by these life-threatening events. Grant the investigators wisdom and insight to continue this investigation and gather all of the facts in each attempted murder of an officer. May the presence of your Holy Spirit be revealed to all of the law enforcement officers and the many first responders and paramedics and if any do not know you personally, may they somehow have an opportunity to receive You into their hearts and obtain eternal life with You. May any officer struggling emotionally or spiritually at this near loss of their co-worker know Your word says, “…call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”; and, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…” This we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
