Our Merciful Lord, we come boldly into Your Presence to seek your supernatural touch upon two Kirklin Town Marshals in which one who was seriously wounded. As the news reports the one Marshal has been admitted to a hospital, we ask You to provide the medical doctors treating this officer with wisdom from On-High. May they accurately assess those wounds and apply the appropriate treatment to spare the officers’ life. May Your Holy Spirit gently settle on his heart and soul and reveal to him how much You love him/her. O’ Lord, we also thank You for sparing the lives of the other officer whose life was saved due to his ballistic vest. May Your mercies, grace and comfort touch them and draw them ever so close to Your Side. As the family of this seriously wounded officer is at the side of Your wounded servant, may You pour out an unending measure of Your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort and most of all Your sweet presence to carry them through this difficult time. May Your words as follows speak deeply in the hearts of those in need, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” As the suspect has been arrested, may You grant the investigators with supernatural wisdom and insight to gather the facts surrounding this deadly encounter. We especially lift up the men and women of the Kirklin Town Marshals and allied law enforcement agencies as we know this has deeply affected them. May Your Holy Spirit touch every heart and draw them ever so close to Your Side to be comforted by Your sweet Presence. And as this has likely emotionally affected both Marshal’s from this near-death encounter, may they be comforted by a special touch of Your Hand upon their heart and mind right now. Continue to touch and heal your seriously wounded peacemaker and restore this officer to full health. May Your words continue to bring comfort to many as follows: “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
