Praying for a seriously wounded Granite City (IL) Police Officer

Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly into Your Presence to seek Your healing mercies upon this wounded Granite City Police Officer. We thankful to You Lord, for sparing his life as the news reports indicate he is in serious but stable condition after being shot several times. As we come before Your Throne of Grace, we lift up this wounded Granite City Police Officer into Your Arms of Grace. As this officer is being treated at a local trauma center, we ask You to place Your healing hands upon this officer and grant the medical staff at this hospital with supernatural wisdom to guide them in identifying his wound(s) and then apply the correct remedy to bring about a full recovery. May you fill every medical doctor and nurse with Your Holy Spirit. As we know the many men and women of the Granite City Police Department are deeply concerned for the welfare of their wounded comrade, may Your grace, mercy and comfort uphold them as You carry them through this emotional time. And as the family members of this wounded officer are at the hospital supporting their loved one, we ask You to wrap Your arms of love around each of them and draw them unto Your side. Hold them ever so tightly, Lord. May Your Holy Spirit touch the heart, mind and body and this wounded officer and may he sense Your Presence carrying him through this ordeal. And if this wounded officer does not know the love of your Son in whom there is everlasting life and forgiveness of sin, may You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to share Your love. May Your Holy Spirit come along side every member of the Granite City Police Department as we know they have been deeply emotionally and spiritually affected especially as the susp[ect is on the loose. As a massive manhunt is underway, may You grant the investigators wisdom to locate and arrest this suspect.  May Your Holy Spirit cause this suspect to be confused, guilt-ridden and unable to rest or sleep.  And if he tries to use his weapon on any other officers, may You cause the weapon to misfire or malfunction.  Protect Your peacemakers who are searching for this suspect.  So, Lord, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a representative of Your Light to those with hurting hearts. May Your amazing grace uphold the family members who’ve been affected so deeply. May You continue to pour out Your grace on this wounded officer and spare his life. May these words bring comfort to many in need of Your touch and grace, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” And, “…be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go,” this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
