Praying for seriously wounded Mobile (AL) Police Lt. Lorenzo Matthews and a wounded Semmes (AL) Police officer

Our King of Kings, it is with a deep heart of thanks and gratitude that we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the men and women of the Mobile Police Department as they rally around Lt. Lorenzo Matthews who was seriously wounded in the line of duty.  As he has already undergone surgery, may You continue to fill the medical staff with wisdom to continue to treat his wounds and restore him to full health.  We also lift up a wounded Semmes Police officer who sustained a grazing gunshot wound to his back.  We are so grateful that You, Lord, spared his life.  May You again, continue to provide this officer with the best continued medical care.   May Your grace and mercy be poured upon the men and women of the Mobile and Semmes Police Department as they continue to rally around and support their wounded co-workers.  We are so thankful the lives of both officers were spared. May Your mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the families of both law enforcement officers and sustain them with Your amazing grace as they rally around and support their loved ones. And as countless members of the Mobile Police Department and the Semmes Police Department support their co-workers through these near-death encounters, may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts to know Your word as follows, "Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land." O God, may Your peace that passes all understanding sustain those in need as there was a small army of officers involved in these incidents in both suspects have been arrested. As we know traumatic incidents like these can cause emotional trauma to those involved, may Your amazing grace preserve the hearts of those and draw them unto Your side. We lift all who need a touch of our Master's hand into Your Arms of Love. And in the weeks to come may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and peace. May many come to know Your son, Jesus, as their Savior and Lord. May every officer and family member intimately know Your love, grace and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. May your word comfort many in need as follow, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” Thank You again, Lord, for sparing the lives of these officers, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
