Our Merciful Lord, we, again, come boldly into your Presence to lift up a Millbury Police Department (SWAT officer) into Your loving arms. As news reports he was shot several times and is in stable condition, we seek Your presence, grace and healing power to immediately settle upon him right now. O’ Lord, because You alone are our Rock and our Fortress and our ever-present help in times of trouble, we earnestly come before your Throne of Grace to ask You to supernaturally touch this officer. As he is being treated at a trauma center and has likely undergone surgery, may You continue to provide the needed medical specialists and doctors to continue to diagnose his wound and apply the correct surgical treatment and medications to save this peacemaker. As we know the family of this officer is at his side and are supporting and loving him, we seek Your amazing grace to sustain them through this very difficult time. Lord, may your sustaining grace, peace and mercy touch the hearts and souls of the men and women of the Millbury Police Department and allied peace officers as they rally to support their wounded co-worker. Continue to pour out Your wisdom on the medical staff to effectively treat Your wounded servant. May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to piece together the facts of this incident in which the suspect died. We know this attack on this officer has affected the entire law enforcement community and especially those close to this officer, we know that they can be affected mentally, emotionally and spiritually. So, Lord, may Your amazing grace gently settle upon their hearts and minds and prevent them from enduring any short-term or long-term emotional affects and may many be drawn unto Your side for grace. May Your words as follows speak to the hearts of so many in need, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ; and “Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.” So, Lord, as this officer is being treated, may You raise up chaplains and other Christian officers to bring comfort to anyone in need. May many come to know and intimately experience Your grace and mercy in their hearts and souls. O’ Lord, continue to touch and heal Your servant, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
