O’ God, we come with deep hearts of thanks and gratitude for sparing the lives of these two Falls River Police Officers.  We also seek your grace and mercy upon a seriously wounded Hoover Police Officer whose condition is unknown. From the bottom of our hearts Lord, we, and every American, thank You for sparing the lives of the Falls River officers. As the news reports are minimal for the Hoover officer who is being treated at a local hospital, we ask you to provide this officer with the correct medical specialists who can identify any wounds and provide the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery.  We, therefore, come before Your Throne of Grace and lift these three law enforcement officers into Your Presence. May You supernaturally settle Your sweet Presence upon their heart, mind and body as they are being treated from these near-death encounters. As these officers recover, we are thankful the suspects in these incidents are no longer a threat. As we know the families of these officers have been deeply affected from this attack on their loved one, may Your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort, and most of all, Your Presence be with them as You carry them through this ordeal. O’ Lord, may Your word as follows resonate in every officer’s heart, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” So Lord, as we know the job of a police officer has been ordained by You, may You continue to touch every law enforcement officer with Your arms of love and mercy. May Your mercy, grace, and comfort also touch the countless paramedics, firefighters and medical personnel who treated these peace officers in the midst of these near-death encounters. And in the days to come as these law enforcement officers recover and reflect on these near-death encounter, may Your mercy, love, grace, comfort and presence be upon them and their families as they support them through this recovery process. And if these or any officers have been emotionally and/or spiritually challenged by this near-death experience, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to point many unto the love of Your Son. And if any may have strayed from Your path, may You draw them back unto Your side. May Your words touch the hearts of many as follows, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Finally, may Your grace, mercy and Presence be with every law enforcement officer in Sparks, Washoe County and Carlsbad, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.
May these words bring comfort to those in need:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Ps. 27:14
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me…” John 14:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1
In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. Psalms 18:6
Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. Psalms 32:10
Lord, in everything You do, we trust in Your Unfailing Love and may Your Will Be done throughout eternity. And if any of these wounded officers do not know Your love, may You supernaturally speak to their heart and spirit and may they receive Your Son into their heart to receive eternal life. May many other law enforcement officers also come to know Your amazing love found in Your Son. May many say right now, “I confess all my sins and invite You into my heart to be my Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.”
