Praying for the Kent (England) Police in the on-duty fatality of Police Constable Bradley Corke and for a second seriously injured police Constable

Our Gracious Lord, today is a very difficult day for the Kent Police Department in which two officers were involved in an on-duty collision in which Police Constable Bradley Corke lost his life. O Lord, right now, it is only Your amazing grace that can truly carry the men and women of the Kent Police Department through this very difficult and emotional time as they cope with the loss of a dear friend and colleague. Lord, as one of their officer is in a local hospital, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon him and restore him to full health. May You grant the doctor’s wisdom to be able to diagnose his injuries and apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. May Your wisdom be poured out upon the investigators who are looking into the many details surrounding this incident. May Your grace, mercy, love and comfort especially touch the family of this fallen officer as they are grieving this loss ever so greatly. May You hold them ever so closely to Your Side where they may sense Your peace in the middle of this difficult storm. May Your grace also be with the family of the surviving officer as they cope with the near loss of their loved one. May Your word as follows bring great comfort to those in need, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” And “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” O’ Lord, may You hold the entire Kent Police Department ever so close to Your heart. As we know many other law enforcement officers and first responders had to witness this very difficult scene, we ask for a touch of the Master’s Hand to be upon every one of them and may they know just how much You love them and will carry them through this valley of the shadow of death. May Your grace preserve the hearts and minds of those struggling from enduring any long-term emotional trauma. May You use this tragedy to cause many other officers and family members to examine their hearts and be drawn to Your love. May many know Your word says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” Finally, may anyone who has strayed from Your path, recommit their lives to You and may they be used for Your Glory. In the coming week as preparations will be made to say farewell to their fallen comrade, may You raise up chaplains and Godly officers to be a beacon of hope and may many come to receive You as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
