Praying for a critically wounded Greensboro (AL) Police Officer

Our Merciful Lord, we continue to seek Your amazing grace to protect Your peacemakers across America. As Your word says, “Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken”, we come boldly and earnestly before Your throne of grace to lift up this Greensboro Police officer who was shot during  a traffic stop. We thank You that his life was spared and has likely undergone surgery at a local hospital. As he is reported to be in critical condition, , we lift this officer into Your Arms and ask You to pour out Your grace on his heart and mind as he comes to grips with this near-death encounter. May You continue to guide the hands of the doctors to spare the life of this officer. May Your love, peace, mercy, comfort and unending love settle upon his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your side. May you especially be with his family as they come to grips with this near-tragedy. Most importantly, Lord, we ask You to pour out an extra measure of Your grace upon the men and women of the Greensboro Police Department as they come to grips with this attempted murder upon one of their colleagues. We are thankful the suspect has been arrested. As this officer comes to grips with this near-death encounter, may Your grace sustain him and prevent him from enduring any short-term or long-term emotional trauma. May Your angels and Your mercies continue to touch the men and women of the Greensboro Police Department and keep them safe from all harm and danger. May You keep all peace officers across America safe from all harm any of Your peacemakers. Lastly, may You draw this wounded officer ever so close to Your side and if he does not know You, may he know that, “Now is the day of salvation”, for Your word says, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” O’ Lord, spare the life of this officer.  May Your protecting hand continue to be upon every law enforcement officer across America. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
