Praying for the Tulare County (CA) Sheriff’s Department in the on-duty murder of Detective Randy Hoppert and a seriously injured Aurora (CO) Police officer stabbed in the head

Our Merciful Lord, words cannot express the deep sorrow the men and women across America are sensing at this tragic loss of another fellow peace officer. Our hearts are again broken, O’ Lord, as we join with the men and women of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department in the murder of Detective Randy Hoppert. We therefore come boldly into Your Presence to lift the men and women of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and place them before Your Throne of Grace. We also lift up a seriously injured Aurora police officer into Your healing arms.  As he was stabbed in the head and has undergone surgery, may You continue to provide him the correct medical treatment and bring about a full recovery.  O’ Lord, may You pour out Your mercy and grace upon the men and women of the Aurora Police Department as they support their injured co-worker and his family.  O’ Lord, may You heal this inured officer.  And as we know the loss of Detective Hoppert has deeply affected the entire Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and local law enforcement community, we ask for Your Arms of Lovingkindness to supernaturally uphold them as You carry them through this time of loss. As we know the family of Detective Hoppert is in deep mourning, we ask You to be their Rock, their Fortress and their Refuge right now and in the days ahead. May Your Peace that passes all understanding be supernaturally revealed to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and the many family members and friends. We are thankful the suspects in both incidents are no longer a threat.  May the comfort and presence of Your Holy Spirit settle upon the men and women of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and allied agencies and sustain them with Your arms of loving kindness. As we know traumatic incidents like these can affect many, we ask Your Holy Spirit to settle upon the heart and mind of anyone who has been traumatized and preserve their mind, body and spirit in Your Arms of Love. May they be kept from enduring any short-term or long-term emotional trauma. May anyone struggling emotionally or spiritually know Your word says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most-High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” And, “I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” In the coming days as a final farewell will be prepared for their fallen comrade, may You use this solemn ceremony to point anyone grieving unto the love of Your Son and may many examine their hearts and be drawn to the love of Jesus and receive his forgiveness and eternal life. And as a result of this tragedy, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to reach out and point many to the Cross of Christ, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
