Our Lord Jesus, We come boldly into Your Presence, O’ Lord, to lift a wounded Ashland Police Officer before Your Throne of Grace whose condition is unknown. O’ God, we seek the healing touch of Jesus upon this wounded officer. May your grace, mercy and continued healing touch be upon this wounded officer and may You spare this officer’s life. As this officer is being treated at a local hospital, may You grant the doctors and medical personnel continued wisdom to effectively treat his wounds that will lead to a full and complete recovery. As this wounded officer’s family is likely at their loved one’s side, may You grant them peace, grace, mercy and comfort in their hearts and minds as they cope with this attack on their loved one. May Your Presence and comfort to be with all of the law enforcement personnel who are at that scene and protect their minds and hearts from any mental and emotional repercussions so common to those who have experienced life-threatening events. As this incident is being investigated, may You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to gather all of the facts surrounding this attack on one of Your servants in which a suspect died at that scene. May the presence of your Holy Spirit be revealed to the men and women of the Ashland Police Department and other allied law enforcement personnel involved in this incident and if any do not know you personally, may they somehow have an opportunity to receive You into their hearts to obtain eternal life with You. And if this wounded officer does not know You, may You send chaplains or Godly officers to reach out to this officer and anyone else in need of Your Touch. May Your word as follow bring comfort and mercy to every officer and protector, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” And, “The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.” May Your Hands of mercy and protection touch every officer and spare the life of this wounded officer, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
