Praying for a seriously wounded Sandy (OR) Police Officer; two Critically wounded Chesterfield (VA) Police Officers and a critically wounded San Francisco (CA) Police Officer

Our God of Mercy, we join with the men and women of the Sandy Police Department, the Chesterfield Police Department and the San Francisco Police Department and lift up for seriously/critically wounded police officers before Your Throne of Grace. We come with a deep sense of urgency and lift up these four officers into Your presence. May Your comfort and healing power continue to descend upon them by Your grace and mercies. O’ Lord, we know You are the Author of Life, the Bread of Life and the Way, the Truth and the Life and ask You to spare the lives of these officers. We thank You that You are merciful, wise, omniscient, faithful, holy and good and for those reasons, we seek Your amazing grace and the touch of the Master’s Hand to be upon each wounded officer from head to foot. May You reach inside his physical body and begin the healing process according to Your Riches and Glory in Christ Jesus. May each wounded officer and their co-workers at each police department and their families know Your word says, “My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.” Lord, we place these wounded officer into Your hands. You know all things and You know we earnestly come before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your mercy and grace at this time of need. May Your mercy, grace and comfort also be with any other officer who was present and witnessed these incidents. May You grant the investigators wisdom to piece together each investigation. We also ask You to pour out Your amazing grace upon the paramedics, doctors and other first responders who are treating Your wounded peacemakers. And if any wounded officer does not know Your love and forgiveness, we ask You, Lord, to use chaplains, Godly officers and others to share Your love with him and allow him to receive You has his personal Savior and Lord. May those who’ve been emotionally and/or spiritually challenged from this attack on one of their co-workers know, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” May they do as King David, who said, “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” So Lord, may Your mercy, grace, love and comfort settle upon each wounded officer’s family, co-workers and friends as they rally around them. May they deeply and intimately sense Your Presence, grace, mercy and comfort carrying them through this difficult time of uncertainty. As this has deeply affected the entire Sandy Police Department, the Chesterfield Police Department and the San Francisco Police Department, may Your peace that passes all understanding be made real in everyone’s hearts. May You use these near-tragedies to draw all men unto Your Son in whom there is forgiveness of sins and everlasting life, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
