O’ God, our hearts are broken as we join with the law enforcement community in mourning the on-duty murder of Toronto Police Constable Marc Pinizzotto. We come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your arms of love to wrap around the members of the Toronto Police and the family of Constable Pinizzotto as they are numb with grief and sorrow. May Your grace, love, Presence, mercy and comfort be deeply known in their hearts and minds. We also come before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your unfailing love and mercies to descend upon the men and women of the Lawrence Police Department as they rally around Officer Ariel Crus who was critically injured on-duty after being dragged by a vehicle. May You continue to provide Officer Cruz with the best medical care and bring about a full recovery. As we know these incidents have deeply affected the members of the Toronto and Lawrence Police Departments, may You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to be a support and help at this very emotional time. We are thankful both suspects have been arrested and are no longer a threat. May You, Lord, grant the investigators wisdom and insight to gather all of the facts and evidence in these highly emotional incidents. We especially lift the families of these fallen and injured officers and place them into Your loving Arms. May they be deeply and intimately filled with Your amazing grace and compassionate love. May Your Holy Spirit be made real in everyone’s heart and sustain them through this very difficult time. Lord, we need Your grace more than anything to be upon the members of the Toronto and Lawrence Police Departments and those co-workers who were especially close to their comrades. May Your unending mercies, unfailing love and peace provide supernatural strength to them at this time of loss. Lord, we also want to lift up the small army of law enforcement officers and countless paramedics, firefighters and other first responders who were at those scenes who had to witness the trauma upon those with whom they worked so closely. May You encamp Your angels around them and supernaturally sustain them with Your peace, mercy and grace. Finally Lord, may You continue to provide wisdom to law enforcement officers across America and the world to remember their training and always use sound tactics. May Your Holy Spirit gently settle upon the Toronto and Lawrence Police Departments and allied agencies and strengthen them with Your Holy Spirit. Touch the hearts of every member of the many law enforcement agencies assisting in this very difficult situation. May You protect the heart, mind and spirit of every law enforcement and draw them unto Your Son for strength. May Your word as follows bring comfort to many, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.“ May Your love reign supreme and may many law enforcement officers come to receive Your Son into their heart as their Savior and Lord who will carry them through difficult days. And as the Toronto Police will be having to make preparations for a final farewell for their fallen officer, may You be magnified center stage at this service. O’ Lord, may You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to be a representative of Your Light. May You bring about good through this difficult incident. May every officer know they are God’s Servant for good. May they forever be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might and always put on the whole armor of God, In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
