Our Gracious Lord, we are ever so grateful to You Lord, for Your hands of protection to have been upon this Las Vegas police officer. We thank you for sparing the life of not only this wounded servant, but every officer who was present. As You continue to surround and protect Your servants, Lord, we thank You Your amazing Grace and Mercy to have descended upon these peacemakers. We therefore, come into Your Presence Lord to lift up this wounded officer before Your Throne of Grace and ask for Your blessings and comfort to touch her heart and mind as she recovers from this near-death experience. As the news reports the wound was not life-threatening, we ask You to continue to guide the doctors and grant them wisdom to treat and restore this officer to full health and my she not have any long term emotional of physical effects because of this trauma. May You grant the investigators wisdom to piece together the details of this incident in which officers shot at the suspect who was later found dead. As this wounded officer’s family is likely at her side, may they sense Your grace, peace, mercy, presence and comfort carrying them all through this very emotional time as a result of this near-death experience. As this is the second Las Vegas officer shot this week, may your grace and mercy also touch the men and women of the Las Vegas Police Department and hold them ever so closely to Your side where there is amazing peace that passes all understanding because of Your Love. May Your peace and everlasting comfort prevent this wounded officer and any co-workers from enduring any short term or long term emotional trauma. May Your word, speak to those in need as follow, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” And Lord, as we know Your word says that all things work together for good according to your riches and mercy, may You use these attacks upon Your servants to continue to draw many law enforcement officers unto the Love of Your Son in whom there is forgiveness of sins and everlasting life. May you especially cause many Las Vegas officers to search their hearts inwardly and if any have been backslidden or need to receive You into their heart, May Your Holy Spirit touch those in need. May You draw them back into Your loving arms, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
