Praying for a seriously wounded Muscatine (IA) Police Officer, manhunt underway for suspect

Our Merciful Lord, once again, it is Your amazing grace we see in action as You continue to spare the life of another one of Your peacemakers—this time—a Muscatine police officer. Thank you, O’ Lord, for answering our prayer that was made from the depths of our hearts for all of Your Peacemakers across America based upon Your word as follows: “Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” As the news reports indicate this officer was in stable conditiion, we know it could have been much more serious had it not been because of Your amazing grace. Therefore, Lord, we lift up this wounded officer before Your Throne of Grace and ask You to pour out Your love, grace peace, mercy and comfort on his heart and mind as he comes to grips with this near-death encounter. May Your love draw him ever so close to Your side. May you especially be with the officer’s family as they, too, come to grips with this near-tragedy. Most importantly, Lord, we ask You to pour out an extra measure of Your grace upon the men and women of the Muscatine police as they cope with this attempted murder upon one of their colleagues. As the suspect escaped, may You pour out Your wisdom upon the investigators and entire law enforcement community and grant them insight to use their skills and training to locate and arrest this suspect. May You prevent this suspect from harming any other peace officers. May you cuse the suspect to be mentally and physically faitugiued and may You cause him to be located and arrested. And if he tries to harm any other officers, may You cause his weapon to malfunction or misfire. Lord, may You fill the investigators with supernatural wisdom as they piece together the details of this incident. As we know incidents like these can cause emotional, spiritual and psychological trauma, may Your angels continue to encamp around every member of the Muscatine Police Department and allied agencies and keep them safe from all harm and danger and prevent them from enduring any short-term or long-term effects. May You draw this wounded officer ever so close to Your side and if he does not know You personally, may he know Your Word says that. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” May You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to share Your love and grace to both family and co-workers alike. May Your protecting hand continue to be upon every law enforcement officer across America. May they always remain vigilant and may they always remember their training. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
