Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly into Your Presence to seek Your mercies upon Deputy Javier Perez-Garcia We thankful to You Lord, for sparing his life as the news reports indicate he is in stable condition. As we come before Your Throne of Grace, we lift up this wounded deputy into Your Arms of Grace. As he is being treated at a local trauma center, we ask You to place Your healing hands upon him and grant the medical staff at this hospital with supernatural wisdom to guide them in identifying his wounds and then apply the correct remedy to bring about a full recovery. May you fill every medical doctor and nurse with Your Holy Spirit. As we know the many men and women of the Harris County Sheriff and other law enforcement officers are deeply concerned for the welfare of their wounded comrade, may Your grace, mercy and comfort uphold them as You carry them through this emotional time. Grant the investigators wisdom to investigate this scene in which was later captured. May Your amazing grace touch the countless paramedics, firefighters and medical personnel involved in this incident. May these words bring comfort to those in need. “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.“ And as the family members of this wounded deputy are at the hospital supporting their loved one, we ask You to wrap Your arms of love around each of them and draw them unto Your side. May they intimately experience and know Your love, grace peace, mercy, Presence and most of your comfort. Hold them ever so tightly, Lord. May Your Holy Spirit touch the heart, mind and body Deputy Perez-Garcia and may he sense Your Presence carrying him through this ordeal. And if he does not know the love of your Son in whom there is everlasting life and forgiveness of sin, may You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to share Your love. May Your Holy Spirit come along side every member of the Harris County Sheriff’s Department as we know they have been deeply emotionally and spiritually affected at this attack on one of their colleagues. O’ Lord, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a representative of Your Light to those with hurting hearts. May You continue to pour out Your grace on this wounded deputy. May these words bring comfort to many in need of Your touch and grace, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
